Tracing our products to the source
Chain of Custody certification is a third-party confirmation that the Company has the systems and controls necessary to track the source of certified fiber in its products.
At AbitibiBowater, we have implemented fiber tracking systems at our mills to ensure that our wood fiber supply comes from acceptable sources such as certified forests and legal harvesting operations. At several of our mills, these systems are third-party certified to recognized chain of custody standards, and others are in the process of being certified.
